The Fuel Operations Assistant is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and dispatching deliveries of our liquid fuel products to all customer locations. This position requires maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, productivity, safety, and efficiency.
- Coordinate and schedule liquid fuel deliveries efficiently and promptly to ensure customer commitments are fulfilled with high productivity
- Understand and communicate safety policies to ensure compliance with environmental and company regulations for both customers and employees
- Regularly communicate with drivers and customers in a professional, helpful, and respectful manner
- Enter and maintain current fuel pricing in internal systems and customer platforms
- Track and analyze delivery data, customer orders, and inventory levels
- Respond to delivery inquiries and resolve any issues as they arise
- Provide accurate and timely reporting
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Confidentiality Policy
- Suggests and implements processes to enhance customer satisfaction, improve efficiency, add value, and/or reduce costs
- Participate in special projects as needed, depending on business requirements
- Perform any other tasks and duties as assigned, which may or may not relate to the typical responsibilities of this position
- High School diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree is a plus
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, dispatching, fuel operations, or related field preferred- Proficient user of Microsoft Office; prior experience with customized internal computer programs, such as a petroleum software application, is preferred
- Self-motivated with a high degree of comfort working independently in managing priorities and making decisions
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of fuel products and distribution logistics is a plus
- Strong understanding and ability to work with numbers, mathematical formulas, and data analysis
- Strong sense of professionalism and ability to maintain discretion
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Must meet employment eligibility standards set for criminal and other background checks
The employee will primarily work in an office environment with regular communication by phone, email, and dispatch systems. Occasional extended hours or weekends, depending on operational needs.
