Assembly Technician (Mechanical) Location: Middle Village, NY Compensation: $50,000–$55,000 per year Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:45 PM (Saturday overtime available)

Juniper Industries is a leading manufacturer of pressure vessels and watertight/ballistic closures for ships. We are seeking skilled Mechanical Assembly Technicians to support the assembly of high-quality mechanical products and subassemblies.
The Mechanical Assembly Technician will utilize Bills of Materials (BOMs) to gather, identify, and assemble mechanical components into subassemblies and final products in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Read and interpret assembly instructions, specifications, BOMs, and part lists.
- Gather required parts, subassemblies, materials, and tools for assigned builds.
- Assemble mechanical and linkage components according to drawings, diagrams, and samples.
- Verify compliance by identifying and measuring components and checking part accuracy.
- Operate hand tools and power tools, including drill presses and torque wrenches.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
- Report errors, discrepancies, or issues to a supervisor.
- Provide suggestions to improve assembly processes and product quality.
- Mechanical linkage assembly experience.
- Ability to identify and count components using part descriptions and measurements.
- Proficient in the use of measuring tools (tape measure, gauges, etc.).
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment using hand and power tools.
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to perform precise mechanical work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to learn and operate assigned machinery and equipment.
- Ability to follow PPE requirements (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, gloves, etc.).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
