Position Summary

This temporary and part-time Translator is responsible for translating technical documents from English to French. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Essential Functions

- Translate technical documents, including manuals, reports, and presentations, from English to French.

- Ensure translations are accurate, clear, and maintain the original meaning and context.

- Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand technical terminology and concepts.

- Review and edit translations for consistency and quality.

- Maintain a glossary of technical terms and ensure consistent use across all translated documents.

- Utilize SAP terminology and ensure translations align with company standards.

- Meet project deadlines and manage multiple translation tasks simultaneously

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

- Proficiency in both English and French, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

- Experience in technical translation, preferably in the energy sector preferred.

- Familiarity with SAP terminology and experience translating documents related to SAP systems.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality translations within deadlines.

- Must have a high degree of initiative, ability to work with minimal or no supervision and a high level of confidentiality

- Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills

- Must have the ability to read, write and speak English at a level that will permit the employee to understand and communicate information in a manner that will enable the employee to safely and efficiently perform the job duties

Physical Requirements

- The ability to work in an office setting.

- The ability to work at a computer and computer monitor and use repetitive motion for long periods of time
