• Provide planning, reviewing, and data collection to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, subcontracts, and labor.
• Perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs.
• Assist in month-end close of the General Ledger.
• Provide cost analysis results to assist senior management in decision-making or other financial initiatives.
• Support cost estimating, as necessary, and work closely with requirements generator and procurement engineers.
• Support invoice review and work with Accounts Payable for timely payment to subcontractors, as necessary.
• Perform monthly Cost and Schedule Variance analysis and provide corrective actions/recovery plans, as needed
• Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 4-20+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Work experience on commercial nuclear and/or large construction projects preferred.
• Ability to work with Program Managers, Engineers, and field personnel to effectively develop statements of work, independent cost estimates, and RFP cost/price instructions.
• Experience in Accounting and working with Cost Estimators/Procurement Engineers.
• Knowledge of Market Research for services, major equipment, and components
• Ability to train and mentor more junior staff.
