We are seeking an Emergency and Security Services Officer to join one of our clients site teams in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador. This role is a key part of the sites emergency response and protective services coverage, supporting medical response, fire response, security operations, and dispatch coverage as needed.
This is a one (1) year contract role with possibility of extension, working a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation, 12-hour shifts (days and nights). Local candidates are preferred.

- Provide onsite and offsite medical response, including after-hours first aid and medical transports
- Maintain minimum EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) certification and respond to medical calls as required
- Respond to fire alarms, participate in high angle rescue, and act as an active member of the Emergency Response Team
- Assist with emergency response planning, including attending risk assessments and helping to devise Emergency Response Plans
- Support site security operations, including:
- Security investigations (thefts, damage to property, assault)
- Vehicle and foot patrols of site buildings and areas
- Vehicle searches
- Coordinate escorts and road closures
- Conduct vehicle patrols using radar and issue traffic and parking violations as required
- Provide dispatch coverage, including replacing the dispatcher when unavailable
- Complete environmental spill reporting after hours in accordance with site procedures
- Attend and/or present at new hire orientations as required
- Minimum EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) certification is required
- Previous experience is not required, but the following are considered assets:
- Emergency response / firefighting experience
- Security experience
- Dispatch or industrial site experience
- Alcohol and Drug testing is required, including pre-hire, post-incident, and reasonable cause testing. You may be required to work in industrial environments. All required personal protective equipment and site specific training will be provided when necessary.
