Job Title: Quality Center of Excellence Lab Technician

Reports To: Corporate Quality Director

Manages: No direct reports. Manages through influence and provides guidance and direction as a quality lab technician.

Job Overview:

The Lab Technician is responsible for conducting chemical and physical testing of raw materials and finished products. This role supports quality assurance efforts by maintaining lab equipment, analyzing data, and providing feedback to manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Conduct routine and non-routine testing of raw materials and finished products.* Perform elemental analysis using ICP-OES or ICP-MS to support material characterization and quality assurance.* Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.* Analyze and interpret test data to assess material quality.* Generate technical reports and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.* Support plant personnel with quality control training and troubleshooting.* Maintain a clean and organized lab environment.* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.*

Preferred Experience/skills:

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field preferred.* Experience with ICP instrumentation and sample preparation technique*

Required Experience:

Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.* Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements.*

Work Schedule and Travel Requirements:

This is a hourly position with responsibility of coverage to support a three-shift operation; regular work hours are approximately 40 hours per week 8:00am to 4:00pm or similar. Additional hours may be required to support business needs and completion of assigned projects.
