Overview:
The Finance Manager – Jenbacher North Americawill report to the Director Jenbacher Controlling - North America and will be responsible for planning, pacing, closing and reporting financial results related to Jenbacher US businesses. He/she will prepare financial KPIs and metrics on a monthly basis, will provide financial guidance and support to operational teams, to ensure that overall processes are effective, efficient and compliant with the Reporting Standards.
Work Location & Structure:
This is a hybrid structured position that can based at our Trenton, NJ or Bristol, PA facilities.
Responsibilities:
•Perform financial planning for Jenbacher US businesses: budget, forecasting cycles: (3+9, 6+6, 9+3) using inputs from data driven forecasting app.
•Run business review meetings for Jenbacher US businesses with CEO/CFO/Head of Controlling on a monthly basis, support Jenbacher US entities CEO’s by populating Orders/Revenue/Margin figures and preparing comments explaining deviations vs OP or latest forecast.
•Perform reviews of revenue and margin during closing and book relevant journal entries related to revenue, cost accruals / deferrals, reclasses between cost centers, company codes, accounts in order to ensure financial results represent the true and fair view of the US businesses performance.
•Analyse sales and margin versus plan (Budget, 3+9, 6+6, etc.,) and versus prior year, provide comments explaining the main drivers.
•Calculate key financial metrics related to Jenbacher US businesses and report on a monthly basis to VP for Controlling.
•Liaise and collaborate with operations and other finance teams to solve complex accounting / finance issues and implement sustainable working solutions.
•Support digitalization initiatives and processes automation, visualize financial KPIs in Tableau to explain US dynamics.
•Provide data for KPMG audits, collect backups, explain process controls in place; be prepared to walk KPMG through process maps, indicating risks, mitigating controls and be ready to share / demonstrate control evidences.
•Own account reconciliations for relevant accounts within Jenbacher US legal entities.
Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related Business Administration field; Master's Degree preferred.
•Extensive professional financial experience.
•Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
•Excellent communication skills and assertiveness: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information.
•Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications, strong excel skills.
•Direct and/or indirect leadership experience preferred.
