Chief Ethanol Fuels is seeking a Grain and Feed Logistics Analyst to join the Chief team. This position coordinates grain deliveries for Chief Ethanol’s Hastings and Lexington facilities. , develops strong relationships with local grain suppliers, works closely with Grain Originators and the Commodities Director to develop, communicate, and implement strategic goals that will maximize efficiencies and profitability of the Ethanol division. This position also requires a high level of analytical and organizational skills along with the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and customers.
- Create and communicate plant delivery and pick-up schedules with suppliers, customers and necessary plant personnel.
- Anticipate daily grain usage and feed production while scheduling logistics to safeguard maximum plant production.
- Communicate plant delivery and pick-up schedules with suppliers, customers, and necessary plant personnel.
- Monitor quality of inbound grain deliveries and bin inventories.
- High School Diploma, or GED, required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of agricultural industry experience preferred - other related industry experience may be substituted
- Requires working knowledge of industry concepts, principles, and practices
- Must demonstrate a proven record of achieving favorable results at previous jobs
