Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. The Welder/Fitter will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing metal structures and components.

Duties

- Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and drawings.

- Perform Stick welding (SMAW), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and other welding techniques as required.

- Utilize plasma cutting equipment for precise cuts in metal materials.

- Operate cranes safely to lift heavy materials into position for welding or assembly.

- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and standards for safety and quality.

- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure structural integrity and adherence to specifications.

- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to meet project deadlines.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

- Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards applicable to the industry.

- Experience with calipers and other measuring tools for accurate fabrication.

- Familiarity with ductwork installation processes is a plus.

- Ability to operate rigging equipment safely when lifting heavy materials.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration on construction sites.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
