Are you friendly, dependable, and passionate about helping others? Blue Ridge Energy is seeking a Peak Period Service Specialist to join our Ashe district team in West Jefferson. In this key front-line role, you'll be the welcoming face of Blue Ridge Energy, assisting members and customers during our busiest times.
This part-time position is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and takes pride in delivering top-notch customer service for around 20 hours a week, unless otherwise needed.
- Welcome and assist walk-in customers with professionalism and care
- Process payments, balance a cash drawer, and prepare daily deposits
- Update account information and assist with routine member requests
- Direct customers to appropriate Energy Specialists for further support
- Step in to help during high-demand periods to ensure smooth operations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of customer service experience
- Reliable and flexible availability, especially during peak times
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with cash handling and basic computer systems
- Lives within a 30-minute drive to the Ashe district office location
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus!
