Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Fabricator to join our shop team. This role involves fabricating components for custom ductwork, structural supports, enclosures, and other specialty metal assemblies that support industrial ventilation and dust collection systems.
The ideal candidate is a dependable problem-solver who can read fabrication drawings, work independently or as part of a team, and is committed to producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
•Fabricate steel and sheet metal components from blueprints or shop drawings
•Measure, cut, form, and assemble materials using tools such as:
•Press brakes, shears, saws, and hand tools
•Ironworkers and plasma cutters
•Verify part dimensions to ensure accuracy and fit
•Assist with layout and occasional field fabrication or installation prep
•Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
•Collaborate with drafters, project managers, and fellow fabricators to ensure quality and efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience in metal fabrication or welding
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop prints
•Familiarity with fabrication tools, layout procedures, and safety standards
•Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
•Experience with sheet metal ductwork, structural steel, or HVAC system components
•Welding certifications (MIG, TIG, FCAW)
•Forklift or overhead crane operation experience
