How You’ll Make An Impact
- Collaborate with senior consultants to deliver high-value energy studies.
- Build and refine simulation models for transmission and distribution systems.
- Analyze system performance under various operational and contingency scenarios.
- Present technical findings to clients and stakeholders in clear, compelling formats.
- Support integration of renewables, storage, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to strategic planning and regulatory filings.
- Apply AI/ML tools to enhance grid analytics and forecasting.
- Engage in continuous learning and innovation within the power sector.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Power/Energy Systems and 3 years of experience in power system studies, or Master’s degree and 1 year of experience, or PhD.
- Proficiency in simulation tools like PSS/E, PSCAD, MATLAB, DSATools, ETAP, CYME, SKM, or ASPEN.
- Experience or coursework in programming, AI/ML, and power system analysis.
- Familiarity with transmission planning, stability studies, and electromagnetic transients.
- Exposure to renewables, energy storage, EV charging, or AI/ML applications in power systems.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
