As a Continuous Improvement Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting Asset Integrity, Reliability, Refinery IT, and Area Teams by transforming complex data into actionable insights. Your goal will be to develop and maintaining dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring stakeholders understand how data flows through systems, and supporting training, auditing, and subject matter expertise within the Continuous Improvement Team. Your success will be to analyze and present data in a way that helps decision makers understand complex programs to ensure funding is being allocated properly.

Your Responsibilities
•Continuous Learning: Continually work to understand our data management systems and the data that feeds them. Find new ways to present and analyze the data to support decision making
•Data Mining: Aid APM Super User in extracting data from legacy systems and drawings during initial implementation. Aid users in data input and analysis workflows
•Data Analysis & Visualization: Use Power BI, Excel (macros/VBA), and statistical tools to create clear, insightful dashboards and summaries
•KPI Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define, extract, and report on key performance indicators
•System Support: Assist with data migration, input workflows, and act as a secondary APM Super User
•Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver training to ensure effective use of data systems
•Auditing & Quality Control: Conduct data quality audits and ensure accurate metric representation
•Process Optimization: Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance role impact and team efficiency
Your Skills
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Power BI and Excel (macros/VBA)
•Strong background in statistical analysis and data mining
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including with senior leadership
•Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and stay organized
•Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team environment
•Passion for continuous learning and process improvement
•Ability to mentor others and facilitate technical discussions
Your Experience
•University degree or college diploma in Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
•At least 5 years of experience in an IT analyst, data analyst, or application support role—preferably within industrial, energy, or asset-intensive environments
•Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI), Excel automation (macros/VBA), and statistical analysis
•Experience with AutoCAD and APM or similar database systems (preferred)
•Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
•Experience in application support and understanding of technology solution lifecycles
•Familiarity with asset integrity, reliability, or maintenance systems in oil & gas or heavy industry is a strong asset
•Experience supporting system implementations, data migrations, or continuous improvement initiatives
