As a Seasonal Precast Quality Control Tech, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our precast concrete products. Your primary responsibilities will include:
● Enforcing Quality Standards: Actively enforce the systems and procedures that ensure our products are of the highest quality, upholding our commitment to our employees and customers.
● Dimensional Accuracy: Conduct precise measurements of precast products using a tape measure and other tools, ensuring they meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
● Inspections: Perform thorough visual and physical inspections of molds, rebar placement, concrete mixes, and finished products throughout the production process.
● Testing: Conduct various concrete tests (e.g., slump, air content, temperature) and prepare concrete cylinders for strength testing.
● Documentation: Accurately record and report all inspection and test results, noting any deviations or non-conformances.
● Communication & Feedback: Provide constructive criticism and clear, professional feedback to production teams regarding quality issues, helping to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
● Safety Adherence: Champion a safe work environment by identifying potential hazards and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and procedures. You'll help enforce the systems that make our products and workplace as safe as possible.
● Collaboration: Support a team-oriented environment, contributing to continuous improvement in both product quality and safety practices.
● Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the testing and inspection areas clean and organized.
● Ability to read, write, and speak English.
● Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a tape measure are essential.
● Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback professionally.
● Ability to work reliably and effectively both independently and as part of a team.
● A proactive, safety-conscious mindset, and a strong work ethic.
● Willingness and ability to work in various weather conditions (e.g., heat, cold, rain, dust).
● Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
● Previous experience in quality control, construction, or concrete manufacturing.
● Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
● Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and kneel.
● Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs (e.g., concrete cylinders, testing equipment).
● Comfortable working in a manufacturing or outdoor yard environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
● Initial Training Period: Monday through Friday.
● After Training: The schedule will shift to Thursday through Saturday, consisting of 12-hour early morning and evening shifts.
