We are a leading steel manufacturing and installation company specializing in high-quality structural steel, custom fabrication, mechanical and conveyor work utilizing Iron Workers and Millwrights and other turnkey installation solutions. We work closely with automotive, power plants, food production facilities and other commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, delivering complex projects with precision, safety, and efficiency. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee projects from pre-construction through final delivery, ensuring they completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing steel fabrication and installation projects. This role works closely with clients, engineers, detailers, production teams, installers, Iron Workers, Millwrights and other Union field crews to ensure successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate has strong construction management experience, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of structural steel processes.
- Manage multiple steel fabrication and installation projects simultaneously from award to close
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and scope documentation
- Coordinate with engineering, detailing, estimating, and fabrication teams to ensure accurate and timely project deliverables
- Oversee procurement of materials, subcontractors, and equipment
- Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress, safety compliance, and quality standards
- Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues that may impact timelines or costs
- Communicate status updates, changes and milestones to clients and internal stakeholders
- Review shop drawings, erection plans, RFI responses, and specifications
- Manage change orders, invoicing, and project documentation
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company polices- 3+ years of project management experience in structural steel, construction, or a related field
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication, detailing, and installation processes
- Proficiency in project scheduling and management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-management skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines
- Valid driver's license; ability to visit active job sites as required
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of welding standards, steel erection codes, work unions and OSHA regulations
