COST ESTIMATOR

We are seeking a COST ESTIMATOR to join our Team in this customer-focused industry. A successful COST ESTIMATOR at BMF METAL is a Collaborative and Precise Facilitator, estimating new and existing parts from blueprints, collaborating professionally with internal and external customers, performing cost analysis on previous and new parts, and creating quotes to meet customer specifications and routings through the shop.

Job duties:

- Receive and Initiate the Quote Process.

- Routinely perform cost analysis of past and present Quotes.

- Communicate with various vendors and evaluate material pricing.

- Calculate pricing based upon material and labor content.

- Manage variable workflows between quoting and cost analysis.

- Collaborate with other Team members to complete challenging estimates.

- Facilitate routing processes through the shop and adjust based on feedback.

- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Skills/Requirements:

- Ideal Candidate would have Experience Estimating in a Sheet Metal or Other Manufacturing Environment that Involved Creating Bill of Materials and Operational Routings as Part of a Cost-Plus Quoting Model

- Previous Sales Experience in a Construction or Industrial Environment Preferred

- Ability to Read and Interpret Blueprints, Analyze Technical Drawings, and Interpret Project Specifications

- Experience with Various Manufacturing Software Packages (could include SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Epicor, JobBoss2, Microsoft Office Suite)
