This role supports the Power Services team by performing installation, maintenance, and construction of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. You’ll be responsible for hands-on field work that directly impacts system reliability, project execution, and customer satisfaction. You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Construct 15 kV, 25 kV, and 35 kV poles
- Perform cable terminations including live front, load break, and dead break
- Install and maintain overhead distribution conductors and equipment
- Participate in underground electrical construction
- Assist with removal or installation of large equipment, including pad-mount transformers
- Operate and work around bucket trucks, digger derricks, trenchers, and other utility equipment
- Work effectively under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations
- Manage project files, drawings, documents, and records using KE’s project systems
- Interpret and work from construction drawings and site layouts
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
- Assist Power Services with other tasks such as equipment testing, emergency support, and maintenance activities
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Travel extensively and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Perform additional duties as assigned

- Knowledge of electrical construction or related field experience
- Experience working with utility line crews and related heavy equipment
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to make logical, project-focused decisions
- A self-starter mindset and ability to collaborate effectively
- Willingness to travel up to 100%, including extended overnight stays
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Eagerness to advance and contribute to the team’s ongoing growth

Pay Range: $30 - $40 per hour plus per diem and other incentive opportunities
