Job Description

This position is full-time with benefits. We’re looking for a Meter Operations Technician who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and supporting field and technical operations. This role combines data analysis, data entry, system interface (UI) work, and technical support, with occasional field assignments to assist with equipment checks, installations, and troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple software systems and datasets.

Starting pay is $20.50 per hour + $10,000 year-end bonus: $52,000+ of annual earnings.

Responsibilities

- Review, analyze, and verify metering data for accuracy and completeness

- Perform data entry and system updates using proprietary and third-party software

- Navigate and maintain user interfaces (UI) within metering and billing systems

- Troubleshoot technical issues related to data transmission, meter communication, and system performance

- Support field and operations teams by providing data insights and technical assistance

- Assist with fieldwork as needed, including meter inspections and basic hardware checks

- Document findings, prepare reports, and maintain organized digital records

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in data analytics, information systems, or a related field preferred

- Strong computer skills, including Excel and database or data management platforms

- Experience with system dashboards, web-based UI tools, or software integrations a plus

- Analytical mindset with attention to accuracy and detail

- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities

- Ability to occasionally travel for field work and lift up to 50 lbs

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
