Environmental Programs Manager

Salary: $33.625 – $42.040 per hour (Salaried, Exempt Position)

Position Overview

Pope/Douglas Solid Waste Management is seeking a motivated and experienced Environmental Programs Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for planning, developing, and managing environmental programs that promote sustainability, regulatory compliance, and community engagement. The manager will oversee programs related to waste reduction, recycling, hazardous waste collection, and sustainable resource management, while supervising Environmental Center staff.

Hours of Work

- Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

- Occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime as required for projects and events.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, or related field.

- Valid Class D driver’s license.

- Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in environmental program management, sustainability initiatives, or related areas.

- Supervisory or management experience preferred.
