Overview

Ameristeel is seeking hardworking, reliable, and fast-paced team members to join our fabrication shop. This is an entry-level, hands-on role where you’ll work directly with metal components, assist across multiple departments, and build valuable skills in machining, fabrication, and assembly.

Responsibilities

- Perform basic Bridgeport machining (drilling, tapping, machining slots).

- Saw cut tubing, angle, and flat stock to specified dimensions.

- Carry out metal finishing and deburring to prepare parts for assembly or coating.

- Assist with mechanical assembly using rivets, nuts, and bolts.

- Provide additional support in press brakes, lasers, and powder coating operations as needed.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

- Follow shop procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

- Previous fabrication or shop experience preferred, but not required.

- Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple processes.

- Dependable, hardworking, and able to keep up in a fast-paced environment.

- Team player with the flexibility to jump in where needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
