Job Summary JOB DESCRIPTION
Develops, reviews and administers service agreements between the company and third-party vendors. Provides support in the Supply Chain area and advises other areas with regards to determining contractual requirements and evaluating contract compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops, reviews, negotiates and administers contractual agreements, time and material rates negotiations, and bids management.
- Develops, reviews, negotiates and maintains contracts for IT related contracts, Construction management related contracts and services, materials purchasing and other service provisions.
- Enters requests and purchase orders into requisite management system.
- Creates, negotiates and incorporates contract amendments, renegotiating the contract, if required, to accommodate scope changes.
- Oversees and controls the contractual relationships with third parties’ vendors in area of responsibility.
- Maintains and reviews database to assure contracts are current with regards to terms and conditions.
- Develops and administers the large capital construction bid/quoting process.
- Evaluates vendor performance based on fulfillment and compliance to contract requirements.
- May serve as backup in the procurement of goods and services.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education.
- Minimum Experience Required:
- Associate Level: Some experience/exposure to working with contracts
- Intermediate Level: Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with contracts.
- Senior Level: Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with contracts.
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic contract documentation.
- Basic general research skills.
- Ability to draft routine contractual instruments.
- Utility experience preferred; compliance-based knowledge or experience in construction related field and IT related areas such as CIP, NERC, FERC, etc.
- Possesses sound analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to multi-task and support concurrent requirements for different business units.
- Ability to work with technical counterparts and broad business units for issue resolution and the evaluation and mitigation of risks.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors and individuals inside and outside the Company.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
- Working knowledge of PeopleSoft, Oracle Primavera, SharePoint.
