Journeyman Welder
Remote – Manitoba/Saskatchewan

We’re looking for a Journeyman Welder to support our trenchless boring culvert crew. The Journeyman Welder is responsible for ensuring that all work is completed in a safe and timely fashion, while maintaining a clean, organized work site. This position must also adhere to our safety program and work as a contributing member with the KBL team. This is a field-based position, consisting of approximately 90% travel on a 10 - 4 rotation.
- Perform welding tasks on non pressurized pipe in accordance to industry quality and production standards.
- Have proficiency in structural and fabrication welding.
- Fabrication of steering heads.
- Welding repairs / modifications to casings and augers as needed
- Fuse metals safely and effectively using prescribed welding applications.
- Journeyman Welder.
- 3+ years welding experience.- Able to effectively work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Journeyman welder ticket.
- Ability to perform smaw, gmaw and fcaw process's.
- Ability to torch cutting (oxygen and plasma), grinding and air arc gouging as needed.
- Physically fit, able to lift 50 pounds, and able to work on feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to communicate effectively and express thoughts and ideas in a clear manner.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions in all seasons.
- Ability to work away from home for extended periods of time.
