We are seeking a Quality System Specialist to support our QA Manager in driving continuous improvement across our quality management system. This role focuses on enhancing product quality, improving on-time delivery, reducing defects and rework, optimizing vendor performance, and preventing recurring issues. Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on quality metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Develop new metrics as needed to monitor system and process performance.
- Vendor Performance: Track and evaluate vendor delivery and product compliance, participate in performance reviews, and support vendor improvement initiatives.
- Document & Technical Management: Maintain and update-controlled documents, policies, procedures, work instructions, and standards. Coordinate document reviews, approvals, and associated training across departments. Perform technical writing for internal and external communications as needed.
- Internal & External Auditing: Support and conduct scheduled internal audits and impromptu audits to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities. Assist with external audits, including ISO 9001 and customer audits.
- On-Time Delivery Improvement: Analyze delivery data, identify root causes of delays, and collaborate with departments and external partners to prevent recurrence.
- RTPR & Nonconformance Tracking: Review Real-Time Problem Solving (RTPR) data, monitor nonconforming product reports, and drive process improvements.
- Equipment Calibration: Coordinate calibration of measuring and test equipment across all sites to ensure compliance with standards.
- Customer Satisfaction: Collect and analyze customer feedback, identify areas for improvement, and share insights to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Training & Development: Deliver quality system training across departments, ensuring a process-focused approach and compliance with best practices.
- Special Projects: Lead quality improvement projects as assigned to enhance processes, reduce costs, and improve overall system performance.
- High school Diploma or GED, Required
- 3+ years of experience in quality management, process improvement, or a related field, Required- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
- Experience with quality management systems, audits, and compliance standards (ISO 9001 preferred).
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- High school Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in quality management, process improvement, or a related field.- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and quality-related software.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
