CDR General Services is seeking an experienced Service Electrician – Lead Technician to work in Brusly, LA. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Location: Brusly, LA Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm (may be scheduled as 5 days/8 hours or 4 days/10 hours, includes occasional call-out work) Pay: $27-$32 per hour depending on experience ($130 daily per diem while traveling)
- Lead and perform electrical service, repair, and installation work in commercial and industrial settings
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Bend and install conduit according to specifications and safety standards
- Work safely at heights, including climbing poles, using lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment (up to 100 ft)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems, including control circuits and power distribution
- Install, maintain, and repair motor controls and related equipment
- Ensure all work complies with company safety standards
- Mentor and support junior electricians and apprentices as needed
- Operate company vehicles and equipment as needed (Class B CDL required)
- Perform occasional call-out work as needed- Minimum 2+ years of service and field experience
- Strong knowledge of motor controls, conduit bending, and schematic interpretation
- CDL (Class B preferred) for bucket/pole trucks
- Ability to work independently and lead a small team
