Career Development: Advancement opportunities, tuition reimbursement Perks: Gym membership stipend, wellness program, fertility benefits, pet insurance, and moreWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical Designer/Drafter to support the development and maintenance and manage, organize, and provide access to a collection of intelligent blocks, circuits, drawings, schemes, and related data, enabling engineers and designers to efficiently find and reuse standardized components within a substation protection and controls design process. This role involves providing technical support for Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical, Vault Professional, and the SBS SD Toolkit, with a focus on revising and creating standards.
- Component Management: Use Autodesk Vault to manage, organize and catalog blocks, circuits, drawings, schemes, & templates and their associated data, such as ratings and supplier information.
- Search and Retrieval: Provides tools to efficiently search for specific parts based on ratings, keywords, or other criteria.
- Reuse and Standardization: Promotes the use of existing or standard parts to reduce design time and costs, and to standardize product components.
- Integration with Design Tools: Allows for the seamless insertion and replacement of components directly into intelligent schematic and wiring design software.
- Data Maintenance: Cleans up and maintains the integrity of the component library, removing duplicates and ensuring data accuracy.
- Provide Autodesk Inventor, Vault Professional, and SBS SD Toolkit technical support and engineering services for revision, quality checks, and development of Substation Autodesk Inventor intelligent standard and typical models, assemblies, islands, parts, templates, and documentation
- Revise and/or Develop AutoCAD Inventor Substation Standard Models for all Voltage Classes
- Create blocks for commonly grouped geometry
- Create circuits, drawings, and schemes for larger grouped configurations- 2+ years of Autodesk Inventor or other related 3D modeling software required - Bachelors Degree in Technical Discipline (4+ years of experience in lieu of education)
- SME for Autodesk Inventor tools
- Utility specific experience preferred but not required
- Autodesk Inventor or other 3D modeling software certifications preferred but not required
