is developing a new underground limestone mine at our

Shepherdsville, KY

location and is seeking a

Road Header Operator

to work on our mine development team. The mine development team is a project-based team tasked with creating essential infrastructure, including access declines, ventilation systems, and ground support, to ensure safe and efficient limestone extraction.

Job Details Mine Development Team - Rogers Group Inc - Shepherdsville, KY Full-Time Night Shift - approximate shift times of 08:00 p.m. – 06:00 a.m. Starting pay for this position is $27/hr. This includes a $23.00/hr. base pay + $4.00/hr. for shift differential. Candidates with mining experience - specifically continuous miner or road header operating experience - are preferred. Additional pay may be available based on the candidate’s experience level and skill set.

Job Duties

•

Excavate declines using a road header, following engineered alignment, grade, and profile specifications to support future haulage, ventilation, and personnel access.

•

Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies

•

Monitor cutting parameters, bit wear, dust suppression systems, and ground conditions to ensure efficient excavation and safe working areas.

•

Coordinate with the management team to maintain proper alignment and gradient throughout the decline.

•

Advance the road header from each working place in a safe and efficient manner

•

Perform scaling operations to remove loose rock and ensure stability of ribs and backs after excavation.

•

Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment

•

Other duties as assigned by management to include installing ground control systems, ventilation systems, or drainage systems when road header is not in operation.

•

Openness to operating a variety of heavy equipment and machinery in a rock quarry including dozer, excavator, front end loader, roof bolter, drill, and general work around the operation

Required Qualifications

•

Individuals must be dedicated to operating safely at all times

•

Individuals must be willing to perform any task required at quarry

•

Must be able to identify and alert management to maintenance issues with equipment

•

Ability to compete pre-operation inspection paperwork

•

Ability to perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management

•

Experience operating mining equipment is required

•

Flexibility to work overtime and weekend when necessary

•

Team player attitude

•

Must pass pre-employment drug screening
