Regal Rexnord is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Quality Manager to lead the Quality Management System (QMS) and drive continuous improvement at our 130,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Morehead, KY. This site supports the industrial bearing business and plays a critical role in our global operations strategy.
In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee quality assurance and operational excellence across two shifts, ensuring ISO 9001:2015 compliance and driving performance through data-driven analysis and process optimization. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will lead a team that includes a Project Lead, a Quality Supervisor, and a group of inspectors.
As a key partner to the local operations team, you will collaborate closely with engineering, supply chain, and production to uphold and exceed quality standards. Your responsibilities will include managing quality systems, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable quality strategies that align with long-term business objectives.
You will also play a vital role in supporting plant-wide SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) goals by deploying Regal Business System (RBS) tools and methodologies. Through the development and monitoring of key quality metrics, you will provide leadership with actionable insights to enhance product integrity, reduce defects, and improve customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Partner with EHS leadership to maintain a safe, compliant work environment and support leading safety initiatives.
- Lead the development and execution of a future-focused vision for the site’s QMS, aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
- Govern and continuously improve the ISO 9001:2015-certified QMS, ensuring alignment with evolving operational needs and continuous improvement efforts.
- Analyze quality and operational metrics (SQDCG and financials) to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee internal audit processes and ensure ongoing ISO certification compliance.
- Lead the site’s corrective action program for internal and external non-conformances.
- Support supplier quality performance and collaborate with commodity managers to drive corrective actions and improvements.
- Provide subject matter expertise and coaching across departments to elevate quality awareness and performance.
- Balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution to meet current performance goals while driving long-term improvements.
- Foster a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Quality or Engineering preferred).
- 5–7 years of quality-related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and quality management systems.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to coach and engage at all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and follow through on projects.
- QMS certification (e.g., Lead Auditor, ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence).
- Lean deployment or Six Sigma experience.
- Advanced degree (MS or MBA).
