Position Overview

- Under general supervision responsible for performing a variety of process and system engineering technical tasks in support of the DUF6 project. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:

Functional:

- Assists with the performance of a variety of process and system engineering technical tasks on the DUF6 conversion process, hydrofluoric acid (HF), potassium hydroxide (KOH) regeneration and balance of plant systems to support operations

- Aids in providing process engineering support and technical recommendations for optimizing process operation

- Contributes to providing technical support during transients and/or upset conditions for operational response/risk mitigation

- Consults with operations and nuclear safety departments on matters relating to technical safety requirements (TSRs), limited condition for operation (LCOs)and mode applicability

- Assists with system/component troubleshooting

- Promotes the collection of data to track and report trends in system health

- Reviews work packages for technical content, interface requirements and close-out

- Maintains training and qualification including applicable documented safety analysis (DSA), TSR and LCO training

- Interfaces with other disciplines, site personnel and/or external organizations to meet operation needs

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements: (Must meet DOE O 426.2 minimum requirements)

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science or equivalent

- 2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required

- Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-12) credential
