Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiber splicing, network installation, and telecommunications. This role involves working in the field to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic networks, ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients. The Fiber Technician will utilize various tools and equipment to perform installations and repairs while adhering to safety standards.

CDL Preferred, must be able to obtain DOT medical card.

Valid Driver's License Required.

Must be able to stand for long periods.

Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.

Must be available for long hours.

Some overnight stay require.

Must be able to climb poles & have climbing gear.

Must be able to work a height greater that 50 feet.

Pay based on experience.

Utilize fusion splicer.

Willing to learn and follow safety rules and protocols.

Conduit construction is preferred.

Duties

- Perform fiber splicing and termination for various telecommunication projects.

- Install and maintain network infrastructure, including cabling and Cisco routers.

- Conduct field service operations to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.

- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment such as an ohmmeter for testing connectivity and performance.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.

- Document all work performed, including installation details, service reports, and customer interactions.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

- Proven experience in fiber splicing and network installation within the telecommunications industry.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools effectively.

- Previous experience as a service technician is preferred.

- Ability to work independently in the field while managing time effectively.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
