The Cab Project Manager will oversee operator cab projects from concept through production launch. This hands-on role requires working closely with engineering, production, purchasing, quality, and customers to ensure projects meet specifications, schedules, and cost targets. The ideal candidate thrives on problem-solving in real time, leading cross-functional teams, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

- Lead custom cab projects, ensuring scope, technical standards, and schedule are met.
- Serve as the primary technical and project contact for customers, maintaining strong relationships on-site and off-site.
- Lead meetings to monitor project status and resolve issues.
- Track, control, and report on project progress, risks, milestones, tooling, fixturing, and new equipment.
- Provide technical input to Engineering and Estimating teams for quotes, prototypes, and design evaluations.
- Participate in design reviews and offer feedback for manufacturability and cost optimization.
- Assist in identifying and developing new vendors as needed during the design process.
- Review project costs and support preparation of formal customer quotes.
- Collaborate with Production and Engineering to implement and manage product changes, ensuring customer requirements are met.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance for problem-solving, supporting product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Review prototypes in-house and in the field during various stages of development.
- Coordinate prototype or production changes with Engineering as needed.
- Work with Purchasing and the Quality Management Representative (QMR) to address vendor quality issues and support vendor visits or assessments.
- Partner with QMR to ensure compliance with quality processes and support resolution of customer quality issues.
- Help maintain standards/best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives across the cab product line.
- All other jobs necessary as assigned and to promote the success of the company (C-I-T)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of project management experience in manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of welded structures, mechanical assemblies, and fabrication processes.
- Experience managing customer-facing projects and relationships.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project/Planner, Excel, and ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of project management experience in manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of welded structures, mechanical assemblies, and fabrication processes.
- Experience managing customer-facing projects and relationships.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project/Planner, Excel, and ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
- PMP or similar certification a plus
