Deister Machine Co, a leader in the aggregate screen industry is seeking qualified designers.

Summery

Designs and creates detail drawings for screens and feeders for use in manufacturing by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities:

- Reviews current drawing library for like drawings

- Confers closely with supervisor and sales department regarding approval or desired changes to design

- Performs all calculations for required specifications

- Prepares and issues related documentation such as shop order and data pack

- Issues all drawings to the appropriate departments

- Makes all revisions and swiftly reissues revised documents

- Works closely with plant personnel in problem solving and the proper test running of machines

- Attends weekly departmental meetings

- Will work approximately 1 month in the assembly shop to gain an understanding of functions of products and build relationships with plant personnel

- May occasionally perform field service work or measuring customer's plant

Requirements:

- Must have experience in working with computers and design software programs, including AutoCAD and Inventor.

- One year certificate from college or technical school; or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in electronic, written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
