The primary function of the Lubricants Driver is to drive a truck with cargo trailer in order to transport and deliver various industrial lubricant products. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Department Manager.
Able to operate all vehicles assigned, which may include manual transmission.
Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, checking that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
Responsible for general maintenance of truck, including but not limited to: checking oil and fuel levels.
Complete all pre-trip requirements before each truck run and post-trip requirement at the end of each shift.
Able to climb ladder with a minimum of 3 rungs regularly throughout shift.
Able to push 142 pounds, pull 146 pounds, carry 57 pounds and lift 100 pounds.
Read and complete written documentation with respect to Bill of Lading, Inventory, Pre and Post trips inspections, orders and tickets.
Transport lubricants from point of pickup to point of delivery in a safe and efficient manner using safety protocols.
Maintain logs of hours and of vehicles service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
Work with dispatch to calculate the most efficient and effective route for delivery.
Ensure truck is loaded with correct products for each drop locations.
Deliver products in correct quantities as instructed by dispatch and paperwork.
Inform dispatch and safety department of any DOT fines, citations or any other relevant issues.
Communicate with dispatch in regard to any potential customer issues such as complaints, spills, leaks, incidents, accidents, injuries and vehicle issues.
Communicate with maintenance in regard to any vehicle issues or needs and report any issues immediately.
Demonstrate professionalism; be courteous and friendly to customers and co-workers at all times.
Drive in hazardous conditions, including inclement weather, tight quarters, and inner-city locations.
Handle exposure to heavy traffic, dust, fumes, high and low temperatures, slippery surfaces, low-lighted work areas and high noise levels. Driver may be subject to confined spaces.
Follow company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies.
Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work.
Effectively perform responsibilities under a high level of stress.
Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Valid CDL class A license required with a Hazmat and Tanker endorsement preferred.
Able to pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug screen, Clearinghouse verification, and 7-year criminal background check.
