Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Audiovisual Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of audiovisual systems across various venues and facilities. - Install, configure, and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, and control systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on AV hardware to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately set up and repair systems.
- Manage cabling, wiring, and mechanical components with precision using hand tools and mechanical knowledge.
- Diagnose software issues related to AV systems and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Support field service operations by responding to on-site technical requests quickly and professionally.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand specific AV needs for meetings or events and deliver tailored solutions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance and reliability.
- Proven experience in electrical work or telecommunication systems with a strong understanding of E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) principles.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring techniques and safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with field service operations involving AV equipment installation and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, cable testers, crimpers, screwdrivers, and other mechanical tools.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot software issues related to AV hardware or control systems using diagnostic software tools.
- Familiarity with computer hardware components relevant to AV systems such as servers or media players.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge related to cabling management, mounting hardware installation, and system integration.
- Experience working with telecommunication infrastructure including network cabling and connectivity solutions.
