At JW Hicks, we are always looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add a 3rd Shift Manager. We have a passion to produce the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."

3rd Shift Production Manager Responsibilities:

- Supervise Production Team

- Train, maintain and enforce safety policies

- Monitor inventory of raw materials, supplies, work in progress and finished goods

- Implement cost reduction and productivity improvement measures

- Coordinate and document training programs

- Ensure ISO quality procedures are followed and standards met

- Track and report production levels

- Ensure housekeeping standards are met

- Enforce disciplinary policies consistently and effectively

- Assist with production requirements as needed

- Perform other duties as requested

Minimum Requirements:

- Excellent problem solving and leadership skills

- Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude

- Accredited degree in technical or industrial management field or equivalent experience

- 5 years supervision experience in industrial production environment or equivalent

- Familiarity with OSHA industrial standards

Desirable Skills

- Statistical process control and ISO 9001:2015

- Familiarity with ERP Business Software

- Working knowledge of shop equipment

- Familiarity with overhead crane use and rigging

- Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings
