Would you like to be our next Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Intern?
Do you quickly see a bigger picture when poring over data points? Can you help others connect those dots themselves in a comprehensive, accessible manner? Are you an advocate for the style of data-driven decision-making that supports the delivery of electric and fiber broadband services?
Tipmont’s Geographical Information Systems (GIS) internship opportunity may be perfect for you!
As part of Tipmont’s Engineering Analytics and GIS team, you will compile, manipulate and analyze geospatial data for Tipmont from such sources as censuses, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs and existing maps. By researching existing databases and creating new ones, you’ll discover and communicate the strategic connections you find in data that spans socioeconomics, demographics, administrative or political boundaries, land use, land cover, environment, infrastructure and transportation.
If you can picture yourself collaborating with an amazing team of hard-working, adaptable colleagues, Tipmont may be your next education opportunity!
