The Nickel Plating Technician is a vital member of our production team, responsible for executing nickel plating processes to complete orders according to customer specifications. Preferred qualifications include one or more years of hands-on experience with nickel plating. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm with some overtime required. The salary range is $18 -$22 per hour depending on experience and education.

· Process nickel plating orders according to customer specifications.
· Determine sizes and compositions of objects to
be plated, and determine appropriate pre-treatment process and plating time
required.· Operate hoists to place workpieces in pre-treatment and plating tanks.
· Plate small objects, such as nuts or bolts, using motor-driven barrels.
· Remove objects from solutions at periodic intervals and observe objects to verify conformance to specifications.
· Examine completed objects to determine thicknesses of metal deposits, or measure thicknesses by using instruments such as micrometers.
· Inspect plated areas for defects, such as staining, air bubbles or uneven coverage.
· Maintain nickel plating chemistry, with guidance from the lab, to ensure optimal performance.
· Perform equipment maintenance, such as cleaning tanks.
· High school graduate or GED; technical training or certification in electroplating a plus.
· Minimum 1+ years nickel plating experience a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience, or related industry in a manufacturing environment.
· Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
· Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficiency in the use of nickel-plating equipment and familiarity with electroplating techniques.
· Understanding of all assigned systems, machinery, and equipment.
· Ability to use a computer to record order details.
