$100,000 to $130,000 depending on your skills and years of experience
- Design and develop electric distribution systems (both overhead and underground) for projects including feeder extensions, voltage conversions, automation, preventative maintenance, and DER (distributed energy resource) interconnections.
- Apply client-specific guidelines, safety codes (such as NESC), and industry standards to produce high-quality design documents.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors to review equipment specifications, and assist clients in developing construction standards, design criteria, and material specifications.
- Serve in an Owner’s Engineer capacity, reviewing engineering deliverables and ensuring they meet quality, safety, and project requirements.
- Manage multiple project timelines, working closely with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and maintain consistency through QA/QC and document control processes.
- Support construction planning by providing technical insight and responding to real-time field conditions.
- Ensure all designs align with regulatory, planning, and environmental requirements.
- A strong foundation in electric distribution design and utility standards.
- Knowledge of low, medium, and high voltage applications.
- Familiarity with industry software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, O-Calc, and PLS-CADD (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Smartsheet) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to your work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- The ability to manage priorities, work independently, and deliver quality work across multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or a related Engineering field.
- 2+ years of engineering experience in the utility, consulting, or energy industry.- Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred, with an interest in pursuing P.E. licensure.
