We are looking for quality welders to join our team. We offer competitive wages based on experience with a generous benefit package. Special consideration will be taken in training those candidates who do not have existing welding experience, but have the ability to follow directions, ambition to learn, and ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

- Sort and organize steel assemblies according to drawings

- evaluate the product to assure quality of parts

- Follow specifications, inspect the product, and examine work for defects

- Prepare and setup materials

- Observe and follow safety procedures always meeting company policy and procedures

- Maintain an organized workstation and be efficient with materials

Required Qualifications

- Prior welding experience- must be able to pass 2G on 1"plate weld test

- Previous experience in a machine shop, fabrication environment or other related fields beneficial

- Must be willing to learn and be trained

- Be familiar with hand and power tools particular to the welding industry

- Must be able to handle a heavy workload and work overtime as needed

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Safety is the most important part of all jobs. Comply with all company and OSHA safety procedures, attend safety meetings and participate in company safety programs. Wear & use required personal protective equipment. Report hazardous conditions to the employer / supervisor. Report any job-related injury or illness to employer and seek treatment promptly. Stay aware of possible hazards. Maintain clean & organized work/staging areas. Perform daily inspections on equipment and report any defects or repairs needed to supervisor or maintenance personnel.

Ability to work 10-12 hr shifts 5 days/week plus occasional Saturdays.
