Painter performs routine and preventive maintenance painting duties. This includes a full range of specialized painting projects including painting small and large structural steel and miscellaneous products for field operations. Performs inspections, clean ups, storage and disposal of paint products, and operates various tools and equipment.
- Clean and prepare steel surfaces using hand tools, power tools, sandblasting, or chemical cleaning methods
- Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Follow detailed instructions and specifications for coating types and thicknesses
- Set up and clean painting equipment and work areas
- Work at heights, on ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts
- Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards
- Assist experienced painters and supervisors with project tasks as needed
- Perform basic quality control checks to ensure proper coverage and adhesion
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to perform each essential duty daily.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Willingness to learn on the job and take direction from experienced painters
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, work in various weather conditions, and stand for long periods- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and team attitude
- Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs. regularly.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods.
- Physically fit to work in an industrial environment and tolerate exposure to varying physical conditions.
- Must be able to work extended hours when necessary.
- Industrial warehouse and manufacturing environment with heavy machinery, and overhead cranes.
- Use of PPE such as gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear is required.
- Interaction with team members, leads, and supervisors is frequent and necessary.
