Project Manager – Construction & Industrial Services
Location: Des Moines, IA Full-Time | Reports to: Senior Management Salary: $100,000 – $125,000 annually (based on experience) Relocation Assistance Available

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager with a strong background in the construction and industrial sectors. This role is responsible for overseeing projects from start to finish — including planning, staffing, execution, budget control, and final evaluation. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, and experienced in fast-paced job site environments. This candidate MUST have experince in Industrial Coatings, Insulation and Scaffolding.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with leadership.
- Develop detailed work plans and allocate resources (time, budget, labor, materials).
- Review project schedules and revise as needed.
- Set project objectives and success metrics.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and selecting project personnel.
- Provide proper orientation and manage team performance.
- Contract third-party consultants when necessary.
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure alignment with plans.
- Create documentation for project activities, records, and updates.
- Communicate regularly with internal teams on progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Ensure quality standards are met throughout each phase.
- Oversee project budgets and control expenses.
- Track cash flow and report variances to management.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial processes and funding requirements.
- Measure deliverables against goals and timelines.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and improvement areas.
- Strong background in construction or industrial services (required).
- Experience in Industrial Coatings, Inulation and Scaffolding (required).
- Hands-on mechanical knowledge is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate complex projects.
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
- Comfortable working in field and office environments.
- Willing to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- High School diploma or GED required; further education or technical training a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant field experience or project supervision experience required.- Project management experience or certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent walking, climbing, reaching, and working in various physical positions.
- Comfortable with construction site conditions: noise, weather exposure, and high-risk areas.
- Must be able to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, vest, gloves, etc.).
- Light truck or company vehicle.
- Standard PPE for site visits.
