Lays out complete products and prepares assembly, and detail drawings while following the general instructions and directions of a project engineer. Makes various calculations such as strength of materials, weights, simple forces, and specifications. Prepares and organizes bill of materials and cost estimates.
- Determines the types of materials needed and calculates the quantity to be ordered.
- Provides information for cost estimating including BOM lists, material nesting, labor, and assembly.
- Assists in the follow-up of prototype construction with outside vendors.
- Secures quotations while expedites materials and delivery.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle stress while operating with a sense of urgency and using good judgment
- Knowledge of CAD software and other drafting tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

- 1 year of related experience or degree in Engineering field.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of fabrication and machine shop.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
