Phoenix Metals Company is a metal distribution company with 18 locations across the United States. The company is a subsidiary of Reliance Inc., a Fortune 500 SEC registrant, and the largest metals service center company in North America.
The National SalesMarketing Manager reports to Executive Management and is responsible for leading and executing the company's sales and marketing strategy across all regions to increase profitability. This role oversees national accounts, drives revenue growth, and builds brand presence
- Manage and grow existing business with national accounts (as defined by accounts that bridge multiple Phoenix Metals locations and cross with other Reliance companies).
- Pursue and develop business with prospective national accounts.
- Facilitate intercompany sales within the Reliance Family of Companies (FOC).
- Provide support to branch management in preparing quotations as needed for local program business.
- Develop, implement, and maintain marketing strategies to include social media.
- Coordinate trade show activities.
- Support growth in e-Commerce business.
- Responsible for adhering to safety processes and protocols.
- All other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- High School diploma/GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services required.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service required.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective processing and distribution of material required.
- Knowledge of the metals industry preferred.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively required.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public required.
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Excellent listening skills required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers and customers required.
- Strong computer proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
