Bluewater Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Specialist / Benefits Administrator to support our Human Resources team. This role is critical in managing employee benefits, ensuring HR compliance, supporting onboarding, and responding to day-to-day HR and benefits inquiries.
· Administer daily employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), voluntary benefits).
· Audit benefit enrollments and file feeds for accuracy; work with vendors to resolve discrepancies.
· Coordinate with our insurance broker on benefits administration, renewals, and compliance.
· Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR and benefits-related questions.
· Maintain and update the employee handbook to reflect company policy changes and legal updates.
· Ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations (FMLA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, EEOC, etc.).
· Manage the PTO tracking system and respond to related employee inquiries.
· Oversee onboarding of new hires including orientation, benefit enrollment, and HRIS setup.
· Support accurate data maintenance in ADP Workforce Now and collaborate with payroll.
· Assist with various HR projects and initiatives as needed.
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required).
· 3+ years of HR and benefits administration experience.
· Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (required).
· Familiarity with file feeds, benefit audits, and vendor/broker communication.
· Knowledge of HR compliance laws and best practices.
· HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) preferred.
· Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational abilities.

· Hybrid, in the office on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with remote work on Wednesday and Friday.
