NextEra Energy Resources, LLC seeks a Senior Engineer in Palm Beach Gardens, FL responsible for developing and implementing reliability engineering programs that ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our wind energy portfolio. Lead a team of engineers or technical specialists and collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and execute strategies that optimize asset performance, increase reliability, and reduce costs. Develop and implement reliability engineering programs that improve asset performance, increase reliability, and reduce costs. Lead a team of engineers responsible for reliability engineering and ensure their work is aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Develop and execute data acquisition, storage, and analysis strategies leveraging enterprise asset management, business, and operational data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, controls, operations, and quality, to identify and resolve asset and system reliability issues. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics to track the effectiveness of reliability engineering programs. Develop and execute strategies to mitigate risks associated with asset and system reliability. Develop and maintain a reliability engineering knowledge base that includes best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies. Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to the reliability engineering team. Develop standards and guidelines for diverse technical and engineering activities.
- High School Graduate/GED
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in reliability engineering or a related role or
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in reliability engineering or a related role
- 3 years of experience with reliability engineering tools and techniques
- 3 years of experience with statistical analysis
- 1 year of experience with data-driven decision-making; 1 year of experience with project management and budgeting. Any suitable combination of experience, education and training is acceptable.
Employees in this role have responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of areas for investigation, and development of novel concepts.
- Plans and develops engineering projects concerned with unique or controversial complexities which have important impact on major company programs
- Acts as technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to individual's field
- Completes assignments given in broad terms concerning general objectives and limitations
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's - Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program
