A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MANAGER OF FACILITIES
The Manager of Facilities will manage the provision of building and grounds, maintenance services for the Cooperative.
A typical day in this role involves overseeing property and grounds maintenance, managing janitorial and repair services, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. You'll coordinate with the Vice President of Operations on progress towards short- and long-term goals, develop and implement programs to improve operations, and lead a team with a focus on professionalism and efficiency. Additionally, you'll handle service contracts, maintain equipment, and ensure the cooperative's goals are met through continuous education and collaboration across departments.
Qualifications For a Manager Of Facilities
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field from an accredited college. Relevant experience may be substituted for part of the educational requirements.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in areas such as purchasing, inventory management, and facility maintenance, or other related utility functions.
- Must have a working knowledge of concept and procedures upon which public bidding, contract management, inventory records, trend projection methods.
