This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of parts and metals sales, inventory management, and procurement while supporting inside sales operations. The Parts and Inventory Manager will work closely with customers, vendors, and plant personnel to ensure orders are quoted, fabricated, and completed accurately and on time. This role combines customer service and operational management to maintain efficient inventory levels, reliable vendor relationships, and strong customer satisfaction.
Hours: 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, Saturdays as needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); familiarity with OneDrive and Teams
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
Forklift certification or ability to operate safely (training available)
· Monitor and maintain inventory levels for metals and consumables to ensure optimal stock.
· Forecast inventory needs based on production schedules and sales trends.
· Order steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials for DB Cotton and Rawson Manufacturing projects.
· Communicate with vendors regarding both stocked and specialized materials.
· Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing.
· Oversee receiving, stocking, and shipping of parts and materials.
· Maintain organization and cleanliness of the parts and inventory areas.
· Manage scrap metal dumpsters and coordinate pickup/removal as needed.
· Coordinate with staff on material availability for customer orders.
· Interact professionally with customers in person, on the phone, and via email.
· Prepare accurate quotes for parts, materials, and labor on custom projects.
· Assist with the design and coordination of customer-specific jobs.
· Ensure quality and accuracy of completed projects related to DB Cotton.
· Prepare sales orders and invoices for parts and materials.
· Coordinate timelines and order status updates with internal teams
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience
· Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or customer service/sales
· Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
