Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Insurance Manager
to join our Finance team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all insurance-related matters, including policy management, risk assessment, coverage analysis, claims coordination, and vendor relations. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of personal and commercial insurance, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
•Evaluate and manage all insurance policies for the family and affiliated entities, including:
•Personal property and casualty
•Real estate (residential, commercial)
•Vehicles (including collector or luxury)
•Business-related coverage
•Conduct periodic risk assessments and recommend appropriate insurance coverage or adjustments.
•Serve as the primary liaison between the family office and insurance brokers, underwriters, and claims adjusters.
•Oversee policy renewals, premium payments, and timely submissions of claims or supporting documentation.
•Maintain accurate records of all insurance contracts, policy documents, certificates, and claims history.
•Monitor market conditions and trends to ensure optimal coverage and pricing.
•Coordinate appraisals and valuations as needed for insurance purposes.
•Collaborate with legal, accounting, and asset management teams to align risk management strategies with the family’s overall objectives.
•Provide regular updates and reporting to principals and leadership on insurance performance, coverage status, and risk outlook.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
•5+ years of experience in insurance, risk management, or a similar role—experience in a family office, private client services, or high-net-worth environment strongly preferred.
•Deep understanding of personal and commercial insurance products.
•Strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience.
•Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
•High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other insurance or financial software.
Preferred Certifications:
•ARM (Associate in Risk Management), CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), or similar designation.
