The
Process Engineerdrives continuous improvement and operational excellence across a cluster of glass recycling plants by optimizing processes, analyzing data, and supporting plant teams. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role serves as a technical expert and key collaborator to ensure high performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.
As a
Process Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Process Optimization: Monitor and improve optical sortation and other plant processes to maximize yield, throughput, uptime, and quality.
- Data & Reporting: Analyze operational data and generate performance reports to guide strategic decisions.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, resolve process issues, and drive operational excellence.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain quality systems and ensure product specifications are consistently met across all facilities.
- Collaboration: Partner with Plant Managers, Maintenance, and Reliability teams on equipment performance and capital projects.
- Leadership & Support: Provide technical expertise, mentor plant teams, and promote a culture of accountability and improvement.
- Financial Oversight: Develop cost analyses, track project budgets, and report on savings and outcomes.
- Indirect People Leadership: Guide Quality Technicians and operational teams through influence and technical direction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering or 5–10 years of experience in the glass processing industry.
- Strong technical expertise in process optimization.
- Applies Lean/Six Sigma, asset productivity, and energy efficiency principles.
- Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, databases, and CAD.
- Strong relationship builder who values individual contributions.
