Open Position – IT Network, Infrastructure and Cyber Security Lead

The Company: Electric Power Group (EPG), based in Pasadena, California, USA, develops grid monitoring and analytics solutions for electric utilities and grid operators. The Software solutions support control center operations for real time monitoring and engineering functions for analytics, event analysis, and grid performance assessment. EPG has a global customer base that includes leading ISOs and Utilities, including PJM, NYISO, ERCOT, SPP, CAISO, BPA, SCE, Duke, Dominion, AEP, Commonwealth Edison, and installations in the US, Europe, the Middle East, India and Australia.

Current Opportunity: EPG is seeking qualified applicants to join its IT Networking, Infrastructure and Cyber Security team for full-time employment. EPG offers a professional and collaborative work environment, opportunity to learn, have significant impact, and growth opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

· Oversee existing IT Network and Infrastructure, including:

o Design, implement, and manage LAN/WAN networks.

o Manage and configure firewalls.

o Create, configure and oversee servers, storage, and virtualization environments.

o Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, access points, and load balancers.

· Maintain IT Network Security including Cyber Security

o Configure and monitor IT/cyber security software to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

o Monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

· Administer user access, roles, and permissions, ensuring secure and compliant access to systems.

· Implement and manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.

· Perform regular risk assessments to mitigate potential threats.

· Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network and infrastructure-related issues.

· Lead and participate in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity projects.

· Prepare IT infrastructure recommendations and specifications for EPG Software deployments.

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

- Minimum 7 years' experience in the area of IT networks, infrastructure and cyber security

- VMWare and Microsoft Windows Server Experience

- Familiarity with NIST and NERC-CIP

- MCSE and MCSA Certifications is a plus
