ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN I – WATER INFRASTRUCTURE, ONE POSITION
The Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency is seeking talented professionals to join its growing Development Services Division within the Engineering Department, which includes two Engineers and one entry-level Engineering Technician I. These positions are part of an exciting initiative to build an in-house design team focused on planning, designing, and delivering critical water infrastructure projects that serve the needs of a rapidly growing community. The Engineers will each take on a distinct yet collaborative role—one focused on in-house design and the other on project management for major capital improvements. Both positions offer the opportunity to lead or support projects from concept through construction, working closely with consultants, developers, internal teams, and regulatory agencies. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in water systems and infrastructure design, with one engineer demonstrating deep technical knowledge in pipeline and facility design, and the other skilled in managing complex, publicly and privately funded projects with precision, fiscal oversight, and stakeholder coordination.
The Engineering Technician I will support the in-house design team through AutoCAD drafting, data collection, and plan preparation. This entry-level role presents a unique opportunity for individuals with coursework in water technology or engineering design, and who is eager to learn and grow in a public agency setting.
Whether you are a seasoned professional ready to take on large-scale infrastructure challenges or an emerging technical talent looking to start your career, SCV Water offers an engaging, collaborative, and mission-driven environment where your contributions directly support the community. Join an award-winning agency committed to innovation, sustainability, and service—apply today!
